Good Flag, Bad Flag
Even vexillology can't escape the culture wars
One of the many interests that I seem to have passed down to my son is vexillology, the study of flags. I used to think I knew a lot about this subject,1 until Isaiah started quizzing me. Which flags have purple in them? How many have text on them? I don’t know why we’re so drawn to such symbols, but I’m glad to share that passion in common.
